As you see below some sites do load and ping successfully others has to be opened using proxy such as "filterbypass"

Would this be routing problem or the DNS resolver/ firewall behind "static.tedata.net"

Should I call My ISP or something?

  • Many web sites blocked ping (e.g. www.computerworld.com) but works fine in browser. Suggest use psping to check web site connectivity. psping www.computerworld.com:80 – Eric Leung Dec 7 '14 at 16:38
  • Who owns the machine with IP Address 172.31.1.121? You are getting up to 5% packet loss between your router 192.168.1.1 and 172.31.1.121 – DavidPostill Dec 7 '14 at 16:53
  • PsPing did not work on this Vista SP2. It terminate right-away. – user176105 Dec 7 '14 at 21:45
  • This 172.31.1.121 should be first access point at ADSL subscription – user176105 Dec 7 '14 at 22:30
  • Not sure why psping didn't work, the web site mentioned Vista or higher should work. You can also check Ping a Specific Port for more similar tools. – Eric Leung Dec 9 '14 at 14:59
