So I have a usb flash drive and I created two partitions on it and I wanted to make one partition of it bootable. I tried using rufus and burned an iso file on it but it made the whole usb bootable. Which is not what I want. I wanted just one partition bootable not the whole usb.How do I do that?

Use gparted to make two partitions: fat32 and ext4 for example. Then go to rufus and as a destination, select the fat32 one. That should do it.

  • Rufus only allows select the entire device, not only one partition. – Richard Jan 24 '16 at 11:57
