Outlook Express emails disappeared - can I get them back?
The Outlook Express desktop client stored emails as .dbx files. At least the client distributions that came with Windows XP.

Outlook Express putting wrong e-mail address in headers!
Whatever was happening, was happening at my ISP's SMTP relay. Once my e-mail provider re-enabled SMTP-AUTH, I switched back to them (away from my ISP's relay) and it was fine again.

How to transfer emails from Win XP to Vista or Windows 7?
If you are using the IMAP protocol (gmail/yahoo/hotmail + dozens of others do this already), you don't need to. (You can check your settings)
