I am achieving the wished result with the following configuration snippet: location = / { index index.php; } location / { try_files $uri /index.php?tags=$request_uri; } try_files tries... files. When you seek / with it, you search for a file with the same name, it is not interpreted as 'find the index file'. index does that job. Hence you need to ...

It is probably not the cleanest solution, but it works: =RIGHT(A1, LEN(A1)-FIND("tagid=",A1)-LEN("tagid=")+1)

Out of the box, UrlRewrite can only do rewrites to the same page, like this: <rule name="Rewrite to article.aspx"> <match url="^article/([0-9]+)/([_0-9a-z-]+)" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="article.aspx?id={R:1}&title={R:2}" /> </rule> It seems you are trying to do a rewrite to entirely another site on another domain and ...

RewriteCond %{HTTP_ACCEPT} ^application/vnd\.x\.(v[1-9])\+json RewriteRule ^(/abc/index\.html)$ /%1/$1 [L] The RewriteCond line matches the Accept: header and captures the vX string. How do I go about removing the need to put index.php after the top-level domain? In this particular instance, it seems likely that this isn't possible. The official documentation does not have a mention for shared hosting solutions. While you haven't provided a link to this documentation, these official October CMS server configuration instructions seem ...

As @harrymc suggested, I tried complaining to support, but they said there was no option other than the $200 SSL purchase. Tough luck. I never found a true answer for the actual question, but I actually was able to workaround it by, instead of using SASP's integrated Cloudflare SSL, using a separate Cloudflare account and connecting it to the SASP server. ...

You don't need to redirect, if you only serve content from localserver.dyndns.com under portal.example.com, and want to use portal.example.com as URL. Create a DNS record for portal.example.com, as CNAME with value localserver.dyndns.com. It will point portal.domain.com to whatever is the current IP of localserver.dyndns.com, and will not rewrite URL.

In the future, if you add another parameter (e.g. ?tagid=1234567&userid=5555), you can simply replace the "999" for a ...
