Podcast #128: We chat with Kent C Dodds about why he loves React and discuss what life was like in the dark days before Git. Listen now.

I am an application developer in Denver, CO specializing in the Microsoft stack.

In my early teens I inherited an old TI-99/4A, which was capable of very little aside from creating my own programs, so that's what I did. I began learning TI-BASIC, which later led to an interest in Microsoft Visual Basic, which I used on-the-job to create VBA macros and VB5/VB6 applications to automate business processes. Shortly after .NET was introduced I learned C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server, and I began creating and maintaining full line-of-business applications. I took a brief detour between 2007 and 2013 to pursue an interest in aviation through the US Army, but I decided at the end of my term to return to software engineering. I currently create Microsoft full stack applications.
